Azure Lab Creation - Part 1

Good day All,

Welcome back!!!

Started to create a test lab to play with Azure so documented the steps

Lab:

1. 1 Windows 10 16 GB RAM Laptop
2. Enabled HyperV on it
3. Created 2 Virtual switches one accessing internet and another Internal only

3.Created a Virtual Switch as Behind router and created 3 VM's. 1 VM will be our Windows 2012 Router and other will be a Windows On premises AD and third is just a test VM

Router Name:           ROUTER2012
On Premises AD:     ONPREMFOODC
Test VM:                  FOOPREM1

4. 30 days free Azure Subscription registration.

Creating Windows 2012 R2 Router:

1. Installed Windows 2012 R2
2. Created 2 NIC's on the Server, i External and 1 as Internal

Hyper v Settings:

In the Server:

3. IP Range for On premises is 10.92.76.0/24 Subnet so i gave the Internal IP as 10.92.76.1
External should be Public IP , as i am behind the Broad band router and its range is 192.168.0.0/24 so on the broad band router i gave a static IP for this VM as 192.168.1.12 so this is how 2 Networks.

5.Install Routing and Remote Access feature and then Configure and Enable Routing and Remote Access

Install AD:

Hyper V Settings for AD VM:

Nic Settings in On-Premise AD Server:
If you notice the gateway IP is the router Internal IP so all traffic will go through router to the internet.

Active directory domian service role has been installed and created a new domain called FOO.COM

As of the preparation work for Azure AD so i created a new Azure site in Active directory sites and Services and created the Azure Subnet that is 10.1.0.0/24 and modified the default site to ONPREMISES-LAN

In Part 2 i will go over steps setting up you free trail Azure subcription

Until next one you all have a good day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
